Cliff says that Quick Frame is a staple ingredient in the team's robots, because it is "extremely light and durable and when tied together properly will be nearly as strong as a welded aluminum frame." He adds, "Not to mention the team can have a frame built in about three hours instead of several days for a welded one."

The robot's main frame is made of Quick Frame and polycarbonate panels, and the rotating, extending arm is constructed from 10 Series extrusion and plates. Cliff's FRC team has used 80/20 since 1997, and he says he loves 80/20 because it's "a great product that's easy for high school students to work with."
